Keeping warm in Winter with HOT Yoga

Hot Yoga

On Friday night Healthy Wings went to our first HOT Yoga class at the Clapham Hot Studio.

The studio has a warm, friendly and homely feel to it, its small but intimate with wooden floors and mats provided so no need to lug your own all the way here. It was a little difficult to find in the dark but after spotting another yogi we followed her down the side of a house, through a little walkway and to find the studio. Disaster avoided!

Isabel did a gentle class tha would be suitable for beginners to intermediates, it was dynamic and allowed us to really enjoy the warmth. Although we didn’t learn any new positions, it was a good pace and a perfect way to end a busy week.

Some of the beginners, battled with the new combination of heat and learning yoga, so if you’re a completely new to yoga maybe try a normal class before the heated version.

There is only 1 shower, and limited space for changing, so keep in mind if you’re rushing off to meet the girls for dinner. We didn’t see any hair dryers…

What to wear: Guys can wear shorts, no tops. Girls can wear shorts, short leggings, sports top/bra. Manicured toes always look better on a yoga mat 😉

Take with you: Water, towel, shower stuff

Location: Easy located in SW London (Clapham North / Clapham High street)

Our tip: Remove eye make up before the class to prevent you looking like Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous after a good night out 😉 x
